Digitalization From Concept to Real Action
Amid the rapid pace of digital transformation, the presence of educational institutions in the digital space is no longer optional but a strategic necessity. In response, the Faculty of Engineering UNIMA, under the leadership of the Dean, Dr. Hendro Maxwell Sumual, S.T., M.Pd., M.Eng, initiated a structured training program for department and study program administrators to ensure that each official website can be managed independently, professionally, and sustainably.

In his opening remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering UNIMA, Dr. Hendro Maxwell Sumual, S.T., M.Pd., M.Eng, emphasized that digitalization is a strategic priority that cannot be delayed.
"We live in an era where information moves rapidly. The public, prospective students, industry partners, and even accreditation bodies will first evaluate us through what they find online. Department websites represent our identity in the digital world and must be managed seriously, consistently, and responsibly," he stated.
He also noted that this training is part of the Faculty’s digitalization roadmap, which will continue to be developed gradually and sustainably.
Head of PTIK Highlights Website as a Digital Showcase
The Head of the Information and Communication Technology Education (PTIK) Study Program, Dr. Arje Cerullo Djamen, S.T., M.T, also emphasized the importance of effective website management in today’s increasingly competitive academic environment.
"A department website is not merely an information platform. It is a digital showcase that presents our identity, quality, and achievements to a wider audience. Proper management creates greater opportunities to reach prospective students, partners, and external stakeholders," he explained.
He encouraged all department administrators to utilize websites as a primary medium for documenting and publishing academic activities, research outputs, and community service in a consistent and structured manner.
